Blue Copper Enamel Moon Phase & Ferns
Brass and Copper Enamel Crescent Fern Moons
Every part of these earrings were handmade down to the sterling silver wires. The moons were hand-drawn onto copper and cut out with a jeweler's saw. Then were the fired with blue enamel and gold fern leaves. These are stud style earring that dangle down to make very elegant earrings.
Enamel is glass that has been heated and fused to a copper metal base. Three layers of black enamel was then fired to the back and front of the moons. Then front of these earrings were painted with gold and then re-fired to fuse the gold to the enamel.
The are 3 1/4” long and 3/4 wide. The sterling silver post are standard 20 gauge.
