Brass and Copper Enamel Crescent Moons
Every part of these earrings were handmade down to the sterling silver post. The top of the earrings were hand sawn out of brass. The moons were hand-drawn onto copper sheet metal then cut out with a jeweler's saw. Then were the fired with black enamel and gold. These are stud style earring that dangle down to make very elegant earrings.
Enamel is glass that has been heated and fused to a copper metal base. Three layers of black enamel was then fired to the back and front of the moons. Then front of these earrings were painted with gold and then re-fired to fuse the gold to the enamel.
The are 1 1/2” long and 3/4 wide. The sterling silver post are standard 20 gauge.
