Copper Cottonwood-Leaf Hoop Earrings
Cottonwood-Leaf Hoop Earrings
Every part of these cottonwood-leaf hoops are handmade. The leaves were hand drawn and cut out of solid copper sheet metal with a jeweler's saw. All the fine details, veins and dots, were individually hand stamped. The leaves were then soldered on to hand-formed and stamped copper circles. The earrings are hung on handmade 20 gauge sterling silver ear wires with red Aventurine beads. ***These hoops are big and on the heavy side of earrings, please check the weight below..
The earrings are 3 1/2" long and 2" wide and weigh 13 grams each.

Copper and silver will tarnish and darken with time; also dark patinas can fade. Avoid submersion in water and direct contact with harsh cleaners, lotions and oils as this will speed up the process. To remove tarnish from jewelry, polish with a soft dry cloth or polishing cloth.
Copper, and sometimes, silver, can turn your skin green. This is an harmless reaction to the acids in your skin. To minimize the green stains, keep your jewelry dry and remove at night or before strenuous activities.
