Glacier Lily, Erythronium grandiflorum, are often one of the first flower to emerge from the snow, as they can generate enough heat to melt the snow around them. They are also completely edible, the leaves, flower and bulb.
This glacier lily was hand painted using enamel glass onto a copper disk. After firing the enamel was set like a stone in a hand fabricated sterling silver ring.
