Enamel Amantia Mushroom Earrings
These Yellow Glass Enamel Mushroom earrings were completely handmade. Each mushroom was hand sawn out, enameled and then all the details were hand painted and then fired.

Enamel is a fine glass powder that is sifted onto a copper base and fired at high temperature, fusing the glass to the copper. The glass is added in very fine layers to both sides of the piece, firing and melting in between each layer. Each piece gets fired around 6 times before it is finished. The details are hand painted on with extra fine glass paint and the fired again, often the paints go through 2-4 firings adding layers and details each firing.
